Chess Club is a chess training and online club platform. Users can practice with Play Coach, solve puzzles, study openings, save games, track progress, and play online club games.

Depending on how you use Chess Club, we may collect:

• Your name and email address
• Profile details and account preferences
• Saved games, game results, and replay data
• Training progress, including puzzle attempts and opening practice
• Achievements and activity history
• Feedback and support messages you choose to send us
• If you request Pro early access: your waitlist submission (name, email, interest), and any payment reference details you share with us (such as bank transfer references) to confirm your subscription manually

Google sign-in may provide your name, email address, and profile picture depending on the permissions you approve.

We do not collect or store card numbers, full bank account numbers, or any payment credentials. Bank transfer references you provide are used only to verify your payment and activate Pro access.

We use your information to:

• Operate Chess Club and provide chess training features
• Create and secure your account
• Save your progress and saved games
• Support fair play in online club games
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the product and fix bugs

We do not sell your personal data.

Chess Club works with trusted third-party service providers for authentication, hosting, database storage, security, analytics, and feedback collection. These providers process information only as needed to help us operate the service.

If you submit feedback through an in-app form, responses may be collected through a feedback form provider you choose to use.

Chess Club may use cookies and local storage on your device to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and store settings such as theme, sound, and board appearance.

Estimated ratings in Chess Club are training estimates only. They are not official FIDE, Chess.com, Lichess, or other platform ratings. Coach assistance is disabled during active online club games to support fair play.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure account access and industry-standard safeguards through our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you join the Pro waitlist or request manual Pro access, we collect your waitlist submission. If you proceed with a bank transfer, we collect the payment reference you share with us to confirm the transfer manually. This information is used only to activate your Pro subscription and is not shared with third parties.

Bank account details are shared privately with Pro applicants, not published on the website. Pro access is manually confirmed by a person — there is no automatic billing or card processing.

You can contact us to request access to or deletion of your account data.

Chess Club is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, a parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy with a new effective date. Continued use of Chess Club after changes means you accept the updated policy.
